My Screenplays

I’ve wirtten about a half dozen scripts since 1996.  Two of them, “Xmas Inc.” and “Prime Time”, have been optioned by producers.   Here are brief descriptions:

Xmas Inc. A Wall Street raider has swindled Santa Claus out of Christmas, and now it’s up to two kids from the city and a gang of disgruntled elves to unravel the swindler’s plot and save the holiday.

Prime Time What happens to your life while you’re busy watching television?  Ensemble comedy-drama that has been favorably compared to Altman’s “Short Cuts”.

Measuring Woman True story of Alice Fletcher and her assistant Jane Gay Dodge, who were sent by Congress in the late 1880s to try to convince the Nez Perce Indians to abandon their traditional ways and start living like the white settlers who were rapidly displacing them.

The Trojan Futuristic satire set in Los Angeles in 2029.  “Brazil” meets “The Fifth Element”.

The Kidnap Artist A troubled twentysomething fakes his own kidnapping in Latin America in an attempt to extort $1 million from his  own father.
